Hi, my name is Marshall Jones Jr., and I help busy adults make friends on purpose.
My Story
I knew a decent amount of people, but I wanted to learn how to make friends on purpose so my wife and I could have more meaningful friendships.
I started searching around online, reading books, all that, but it just felt like a bunch of disconnected tips. I never had a clear picture of how to turn these people I knew into real, close friends.
Then, I discovered this audio book by a guy named Russell Brunson that taught me how experts create their own frameworks. I had enough of the building blocks already from personal experience and my research on friendship that it all started to click. I was out on a walk at the time, so I ran home to find something I could draw on—which turned out to be a paper towel—and scribbled out the beginnings of the Friendship Ladder.
The Friendship Ladder helped me make sense of the friendships I already had—how and why they turned out well—but also why other relationships never really got off the ground or grew that deep.
Now, my wife and I are building more meaningful friendships with other couples instead of just feeling like we’re on our own. Plus, my wife and I have grown closer to each other as we’ve gone on this journey together.
